Events, workshops and information will be offered throughout. All events are free and open to the public.
It was clear early on that Laura Ann Collins was dedicated to becoming an amazing educator. She started thinking about teaching before even graduating from Brunswick High School in 2004 by joining the Future Teachers of America. Later, after earning her bachelor’s degree at Radford University, she enrolled in Frostburg State University’s Master of Arts in Teaching program at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown, graduating with honors in 2010.
First United Bank and Trust has fully endowed a $25,000 scholarship fund at Frostburg State University to benefit academically gifted students with financial need, the institutions have announced.
Master Classes in Hip-Hop Dance Offered March 2
Thanks to a New Directions grant from Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, the Cultural Events Series at Frostburg State University will join forces with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Theatre and Dance to embark upon an eight-month project with Philadelphia-based hip-hop dance company, RHAW (Rennie Harris Awe-Inspiring Works). Four local dancers will be selected to perform with the professional company when they perform at FSU in September 2013.
